—Lament
lament // elena roger (evita: new broadway cast recording)
the choice was mine and mine completely
i could have any prize that i desired
i could burn with the splendour of the brightest fire
or else, or else i could choose time
all the tears.
all of them.
i still can’t even process the fact that i actually finally saw this show.

Cannot wait to see Evita on Broadway… ahh college memories. (via BroadwayWorld)
I asked one of my friends if she wanted to rush this with me and immediately regretted it because — as my reaction to this picture proves — I am almost definitely going to cry through the whole damn thing (which isn’t really a problem; it’s more like I’ve wanted to see this on stage for over half my life, and there aren’t very many people in the world with whom I want to share my first experience of it).

six days. (or really about twelve days until i can actually go, because i have stupid classes and obligations, but STILL. six days until this show is there just waiting for me.)
Whoever came up with the idea to use ‘The Truth Is She Never Left You’ as a tagline is a life ruiner who ruins lives.
Me: [talking about the events in Egypt]
Mom: ‘Oh man, [your sister] has been dancing around for two days singing ‘Do You Hear the People Sing’ and ‘A New Argentina’, because apparently that’s her entire context for any kind of revolution.’
